Horse-judging honors

The Columbia County Senior Horse Judging Team earned fourth place at the State 4-H Horse Judging Contest at the University of Georgia on May 17. Team members Jennifer Robbellen, Melissa Powell, Victoria Paul and Lauren Gordon judged
confirmation classes, pleasure classes and the individual event class.
They also presented oral reasons to justify their placings on certain classes. The team was coached by Sarah Hare and Pam Malcolm. The junior team included Sarah Adams, Brittany Barnhill, Elizabeth Hare, Tabitha Rhodes and Karly Robertson. Each 4-Her was recognized for their accomplishments with a state award card and an award meal sponsored by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and 4-H Foundation.
