The following accounts were taken from reports filed with the Columbia County Sheriff's office.

Camping-gear theft

A thief made off with nearly $200 worth of outdoor equipment.

Keith Alan Bell of Grovetown told officers that while camping at Wildwood Park someone stole his tent, a $20 bill, his wallet, various credit cards and a tackle box.

Bell said that he was drinking with friends at another campsite when the theft occurred late Monday night.

Waitress assaulted

A Huddle House waitress from Augusta reported being assaulted while being accused of stealing a cell phone.

Phaedra Sirlene Mays of Augusta told a Columbia County Sheriff's Office deputy that a man she met Sunday evening pushed her down and accused her of taking his phone at a residence on Baston Road.

Mays said the man the left the residence, saying that he was going to return with a gun and shoot her.

All she could tell police about the man was his name and a general description.

The incident report said that the man was not in the area at the time of the officer's arrival.

DUIs

Leymon Wesley Sanders Jr., 44, of the 100 block of Shady Grove Drive, Martinez, was fined $700.

Corine Kirby Gaffney, 69, of the 400 block of Aumond Road, Augusta, was fined $700.

Edgar Napaoleon Cantu, 33, of the 9100 block of Tundra Ave., Laredo, Tex., was fined $700.

Ben Lamar Braddy, 52, of the 1200 block of Kendall Court, Martinez, was fined $1,350.

Douglas Wade Bryant, 42, of the 200 block of Rose St., Martinez, was sentenced to 12 days in jail and 160 hours of community service and was fined $1,100.

Elizabeth Anne Lunsford, 47, of the 100 block of Gary Glenn Drive, Martinez, was sentenced to 18 months probation, 10 days in jail and 240 hours of community service and was fined $1,100.

Woodrow Harrison, 48, of the 4200 block of Wheeler Road, Martinez, was fined $700.

Anthony Mosely, 42, of the 400 block of Bradleyville Road, North Augusta, S.C., was fined $246.

Iwona Jadwiga Myrna, 42, of the 200 block of Walden Glen Lane, Evans, was sentenced to 24 months probation, 240 hours community service and three days in jail and was fined $1,100.

Kay Parkerson Anaya, 44, of the 2300 block of Marlette St., Augusta, was fined $700.

Rachel Renee Ratcliff, 22, of the 2300 block of Springhouse Lane, Augusta, was fined $700.

Michael David Kerbelis, 44, of the 600 block of Spring Creek Lane, Martinez, was fined $700.
