Camp canceled

The second session (July 7-11) of the Evans High School basketball camp has been canceled because of renovations to the Evans High School gymnasium. The Evans basketball staff apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Volleyball clinic

The Augusta Junior Olympic Volleyball Club is holding a volleyball clinic July 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Family Y on Wheeler Road. Cindy Robarge, head coach at Coker College, is the clinician. Prizes will be awarded in various categories. The cost is $25, which includes a T-shirt. Cheerleading tryouts

Southern Mpact Athletics will hold tryouts to complete their Junior All-Star cheerleading squad, and to fill out four spaces on their Senior All-Star cheerleading squad. Tryouts will be 6 p.m. July 1 at Southern Mpact Athletics, and are open to all individuals entering fifth through 12th grade.
