Special

Members of Our Savior Episcopal Church with family members serving in war received Blue Star Banners during a recent ceremony. The banners, created in 1917, were a common sight during World War I and World War II and are displayed in the front window of a home told others that a family member was serving in the armed forces. Receiving the banners from Father Lou Scales (at rear) are John and Rachel Powell (from left), David Muntz, Cynthia Rolloson, and Bettie and Dennis McClendon. Also receiving ribbons were Pat and Nancy Walters, Jerry and Sue Pribula, and Geri and Bryan Ashe.
