Pardon our impatience, but if county officials and the Georgia Department of Transportation could work on Washington Road as much as theyve talked about fixing it, the almost-daily crashes on the highway would be a thing of the past.

Wolfpack golfers remembered
Athletes claimed their trophies at the Greenbrier High School spring sports banquet, but the evening belonged to a pair of Wolfpack golfers whose lives were claimed in a traffic accident during the 2003 season.

Sports Briefs
The 12th annual Evans Youth Basketball Camp will be June 2-6, with a second session July 7-11. The camps will be at the Evans High School gym for boys and girls ages 6-14. The cost for each camp is $100, or $85 if the camper brings a lunch from home. The costs include a camp T-shirt and snacks each day. Trophies, awards and certificates also will be presented.
