Thomson is coming down with new case of the blues

THOMSON - Thomson and McDuffie County are ready for the blues.

On Saturday, the the 10th annual Blind Willie McTell Blues Festival comes to the field off Stagecoach Road north of Thomson. The event draws thousands of blues fans and some of the country's leading blues artists.

Included on the bill this year are Magic Slim and the Teardrops, Sean Costello and local favorites Crosstie Walkers.

There also will be a food court available to concertgoers.

The Blind Willie McTell Blues Festival will be held off Highway 17 in Thomson, off Stagecoach Road near the Interstate 20 exit.
