Dad deserves more credit for recreation efforts

I would like to comment on the recreation director for Columbia County, Charlie Beale.

I do not think he gets enough credit for the job he does and the things that he has to deal with. He is constantly doing things for the CSRA to find ways to improve the recreation and quality of things that he has given to the community.

As his daughter, I know that he loves the job he has chosen and has dedicated his career to it. We have always been encouraged to be good sportsman at anything we do. I wish there could be a class about sportsmanship, because so many children are not getting these values that make a team. We were always taught to congratulate the other team whether you won or lost, and that no matter what always give 110 percent. We were also encouraged to always finish whatever we started.

I think that these morals that I was taught by my father and mother have made me the person I am today. We all assume that these people who do things for other people know that they are appreciated, and therefore we dont tell them. However, as a teacher, I know we would like to hear a thank you or good job every now and then.
