When Austin and Thomas Sprague auditioned for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of Alice in Wonderland, held Saturday at Fort Gordon's Dinner Theatre, they knew exactly what parts they wanted.
"We wanted to be Tweedledee and Tweedledum," said Thomas. He and his twin brother, Austin, are fifth-graders at Stevens Creek Elementary School.
The brothers figured they'd be great in the roles since they fight well and finish each other's sentences.
The duo got their wish.

About 60 children performed in the Missoula Children's Theatre version of Alice in Wonderland over the weekend.
The cast auditioned April 21 and rehearsed all week for the culminating performances.
"They put on a great show," said Amy Chevalier. She and Laura M. Beeman were the actor-directors for the production. Ms. Chevalier also played the role of the Queen of Hearts.

There are 27 teams from the Missoula Children's Theatre who travel in all 50 states and 15 foreign countries introducing theater to children through the Missoula Children's Theatre International Project.
About 55,000 children participate in the project annually.
Chris Baugh, an Evans High School freshman, said he enjoyed playing the role of the Knave, even though the week was "tiring."
Cramming the production into one week was fine with Madison Junod, one of three girls in the role of Alice. There was a small Alice, a middle Alice and a tall Alice.
"It's kind of a good thing," she said. "If you spent a month learning parts of the play, by the end, you might forget the beginning."
