The planning committee for the third annual Red, White and Blue Veterans' Celebration Memorial Day event is planning for bigger crowds and more enthusiastic celebration.
"It gets bigger and bigger ever year," said Jim Whitehead, committee member and event co-founder.
The event, to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 24, in the field behind the Evans Kroger, will feature fireworks, a parade and a sing-along with the patriotic tunes of the U.S. Army Signal Corps Band.
There will be a Wall of Recognition to honor veterans, a Retirement of the Flags ceremony and lots of fireworks.

"This is all for the veterans and military. That is all we are about," Whitehead said.
Refreshments, arts and crafts vendors and children's entertainment also will be available.
