Authorities have not yet determined if alcohol was a factor in an automobile crash Thursday night that killed three people, including two former Lakeside High School students.
Columbia County Coroner Tommy King Sr. has sent blood samples to the State Crime Lab in Atlanta for toxicology tests, which could take up to a month to complete, he said.
David Williams, 25, of Covington, was driving his BMW west on Frontage Road, when the vehicle went off the right side of the road. Williams overcorrected, and the vehicle veered into the eastbound lane where it struck a minivan driven by Genine Urguhart, 52, of Fairfax Street, Martinez.
Williams and his two passengers, Micka Andrews, 20, of Roxbury Drive, Martinez, and Candace DeChiaro, 19, of Sapphire Drive, Martinez, died due to massive head and chest trauma, King said.

Urguhart and two of her three passengers - Tiffanie Douglas, 32, Kendall Douglas, 3, both of Fairfax Street, Martinez - were taken to the Medical College of Georgia. Hayden Douglas, 1, was unharmed and released to his father's custody. All three were treated at MCG and discharged, said a hospital spokesman.
