Condition of I-20 bad as golf protest

Having moved from England to the United States some 12 years ago, it has saddened me to hear of the protests being shown toward the Augusta National Golf Club.

Unfortunately, I recently had the misfortune to have to visit Atlanta from Charleston, S.C., while driving a 24-foot rental truck, which took me through your fair city. Perhaps the female vocalists against the Augusta National could do us all a favor and start directing their voices against the state of Interstate 20.

I was surprised that the load of antique furniture I was carrying arrived in one piece. The state of the road between the northern outskirt of Aiken to the southern side of Augusta has to be one of the worst in the country.

Considering you hold the most prestigious annual golf tournament in the country, I am disgusted that those concerned have not rectified this matter. Perhaps they could find a "Master" road builder, hopefully in the near future.
