This war is not a waste of lives

As many are doing, I've been watching the progress of the war. I hear of the deaths of the young men, and sadness overwhelms me.

At the same time, it makes my blood boil when I hear people say, "What a waste." How dare they! What an insult to these soldiers and their families.

Every time they voice their dislike for our president and aren't shot, that soldier's life was not wasted. Every time they go to the church of their choice, or choose not to go and aren't arrested, that soldier's life was not wasted. For every freedom that they enjoy, that soldier's life was not wasted.

Tonight and every night, they should get down on their knees and thank God for these very brave men and women. I, for one, am a very proud and grateful American. God bless them all and sustain their families.
