While last weekend's weather put a damper on most athletic events in Columbia County, volleyball players were safe and dry inside area gyms competing in the March Blowout 2003.
The Saturday event was part of a split tournament co-sponsored by the Augusta Junior Olympic Volleyball Club and the Clemson-Foothills Volleyball Club.
The March Blowout was sanctioned by the Palmetto Region of the USA Volleyball Association. The Palmetto Region features junior club teams from South Carolina, Augusta and Athens.
Clemson-Foothills hosted the Club 12's and open/power team divisions.
