I agree with the articles in The Augusta Chronicle regarding Jody Rowland. If Aiken County residents are against crime, they will vote for Mr. Rowland to be sheriff.

I was surprised to read recently that another candidate was being backed by some in the Irish Traveler community. It seems this is their opportunity to discredit a highly respected lawman who is a recognized Irish Traveler crime expert.
Recently, my elderly mother was the victim of an Irish Traveler. An individual started several jobs around the house, such as driveway repair and painting. Money was given to him, and he did not return. The jobs were never finished. Basically, she was scammed out of several thousand dollars.
Chief Deputy Jody Rowland and Lt. Martin Redd responded to our call in a way we could hardly believe. They arrived at my mother's house within an hour and stayed in contact with us daily. Within a couple of days, the individual was apprehended near Columbia, S.C. Every dime of my mother's money was personally returned within three weeks by Jody Rowland.
It sure does make us feel good to know that Mr. Rowland could be the next sheriff of Aiken County. My family and I support him 100 percent.
