Baseball camp
Baseball Central is sponsoring a baseball camp Saturday at Riverside Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sign-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. Players ages 7-18 are encouraged to attend. Camp instructors are Mike Lilly and Mark Thornhill. Participants can choose to receive training on one or more of the following fundamentals: pitching, catching, hitting, defense-infield, and defense-outfield. The cost of the camp is $65. Baseball players needed
The East Georgia Dawgs travel baseball team is looking for three pitchers to play on its 12-and-under squad, and two pitchers for the 13-and-under squad. Swimming clinics
Aiken-Augusta Swim League is playing host to swim clinics for anyone interested in learning more about strokes, turns and starts. This will be a great refresher course for all summer-league swimmers. The clinics will be at two sites from March 31 through April 3. The clinics at the University of South Carolina Aiken are from 4 to 5 p.m., and the clinics at Augusta State University are from 6 to 7 p.m. The cost is $40 for four sessions. Softball players needed
The Martinez-Evans Sting fast-pitch softball team has an opening for a player interested in participating during the 2003 travel tournament season. Relay for Life tourney
The Harlem Relay for Life will hold its first annual golf tournament March 29 at Three Oaks Golf Course in Harlem. The tournament has a Lauderdale format (four-man teams) and a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Registration fee is $10, and green fee with cart is $20. There will be door prizes and first-place trophies. Youth soccer clinic
The Harlem High School soccer team is playing host to a youth soccer clinic April 7. The clinic is for boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade. Registration will be at 9:30 a.m., and the clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Harlem High School football stadium. The cost is $25, which includes the clinic, lunch and a souvenir.
