Citizens for Good Government meet
The Martinez Citizens for Good Government held their first public meeting March 1. More than 60 people attended to hear guest speaker Sam Waller, an Augusta attorney.
Waller congratulated the group on their interest in government and politics and referred to the recent surge of patriotism because of Col. John Glenn's flight, which represented pride in what we can do, in the future and being an American. He spoke of how we can take advantage of our privileges as Americans and many of us fail to realize our responsibilities.
