Gardening at Lunch
The Columbia County Extension Service will hold its monthly Gardening at Lunch seminar from 12:10 to 12:45 p.m. today in the government complex's auditorium.
The topic will be Weed Control in Lawns and Ornamentals, presented by Charles Phillips, Columbia County extension agent.

Harlem meetings
The Harlem Fire Department Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the fire station on New Street.
The City Council has scheduled a work session at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in city hall.
Spaghetti dinner
The Harlem Relay for Life team, Circle of Friends, will have a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Harlem Masonic Lodge. Tickets are $5 each.

Shorter College Chorale
The Shorter College Chorale and Dr. Ed Schrader, the college president, will perform Saturday at Kiokee Baptist Church, 2520 Ray Owens Road, Appling. Citizen's Law Enforcement Academy
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office will be holding a Citizen's Law Enforcement Academy on March 20.
The free course is offered from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. each Thursday, for nine weeks and is open to Columbia County residents ages 18 and older.
