Harlem's Walton Library, which has been closed since Nov. 5 to complete the second phase of renovations, is expected to reopen soon.
Library employees are assembling furniture and shelving, and beginning to reshelve books, said Christina Rice, Columbia County library director.
"It is going to be a lot of work, but we are moving in now," Rice said.
The original reopening date of the first week of February was delayed because of additional electrical work after inspection and the shelves needed an extra coat of stain, Rice said.
"They look great now," Rice said. "They just were not finished."

Phase one of construction to the building - which is more than 100 years old - included a 700-square-foot addition for meetings and programs and handicapped restrooms, was completed in the fall.
Phase two included paint, new shelves and some updates to the building, which has not undergone updates since its 1981 opening.
A dedication ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the library.
