Lakeside fundraiser

The Lakeside Panther Athletic Association has scheduled its annual fund-raiser golf tournament for Monday at West Lake Country Club. Lunch will begin at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. The entry fee costs $400 per team for the Lauderdale-format event. Hole sponsorship costs $100. For more information contact John Smith (860-9308) of Harry Revell (722-0768).

Golfers place third

A pair of Columbia County golfers placed third in their respective divisions at the Georgia Junior PGA Tour Championship on Dec. 30-31 in LaGrange.

Harlem's Scott Lord posted rounds of 91-77, and his 36-hole total of 168 was good for third in the boys' 12-13 age group. Lord also finished third for the season in his division.

Kristen Bragg of Evans shot 85-83 (168) to take third place in the girls' 16-18 division.

Soccer tournament

The TST 6x6 Popsicle Toes Tournament will be Jan. 25 at Citizens Park in Aiken. Divisions include men's open, and boys and girls in three age groups - high school, under-14 and under-12. The cost is $125 per team, and guarantees three matches for all teams entered. Champions will receive individual awards. Deadline to register is Jan. 22.
