The Greenbrier High School Athletic Booster Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the media center.
Hardy meeting
The Oliver Hardy Committee will hold a planning meeting for the upcoming festival. The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Laurel and Hardy Museum 50 N. Louisville St., Harlem.

Optimist Club contest
The Optimist Club of Martinez-Evans is holding a contest designed for young people deaf or hard of hearing to present thoughts in a public forum on "United We Stand in Opinion."
The contest is open to young people through 12th grade who are recognized by the school as deaf or hard of hearing. The winner will receive a $1,500 college scholarship.

Fifth grade salutes MLK
The fifth-grade class of Brookwood Elementary School will perform a tribute titled "I Remember Martin Luther King Jr." at 1:45, 2:30 and 7 p.m. Monday.A tour will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Dinner performance
Stage III, Columbia County's community theater, will perform a dinner presentation of The Dinner Party by Neil Simon on Jan. 16-19 at the Jewish Community Center.
Tickets to the evening performances cost $25 and the Sunday matinee costs $15 per person. For reservations please call the community center at 228-3636.
Day school
Columbia County Christian Academy has spaces available for Pre-K through sixth grade. Classroom size is small and A Beka Curriculum is taught. Registration for fall classes will begin in February.

Blue Ridge school council sets meeting schedule
The Blue Ridge Elementary School Council will hold meetings at 7:30 a.m. in the conference room of the school's media center, 550 Blue Ridge Drive, Evans, on the following Tuesdays: Jan. 14; Feb. 18; March 18; April 15; and May 20.
