The following accounts were taken from reports filed with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

Cell phone missing

A University of Georgia student had her cell phone stolen early Dec. 18. She discovered her Nokia phone with an UGA face plate missing while she was at the Rack and Grill in Martinez.

The 19-year-old student, listed as Misty Dawn Human, called her cell phone number and someone answered, according to the report. She tried calling it again, but no one else picked up.

Money, power tool stolen

Elijah Blackwell, 65, of Martinez called the Columbia County Sheriff's Office Wednesday to report that he had been robbed sometime between Sept. 1 and Oct. 1. Blackwell told deputies that $1,863.91 was stolen from his dresser drawer and a Dewalt cordless drill was taken from his hall closet. The report said someone broke into the back door of his residence.

Country club thieves

The Club at Jones Creek pool area was the target of theft and vandalism.

According to a sheriff's report, someone broke into the locked pool area of the well-known Columbia County country club and damaged several pieces of pool furniture by throwing it into the pool. They also stole a clock worth $400 and a leaf blower worth $150 from the pool's pump house.
