Santa's Shoppe
The staff of Santa's Christmas Shoppe, on the grounds of Krystal River Water Park, has lighted up the 10-acre grounds with thousands of lights and lighted scenes and offers a chance to meet SantaClaus.
The third annual walk-through light show begins at 6 p.m. Thursday through Monday at the park at 799 Industrial Park Drive, Evans. Marshmallows for roasting over open fires are provided to children under age 12. Additional marshmallows and hotdogs and other concessions will be available. Admission costs $1 per person, but children under age 6 get in free.
Santa and his reindeer will be available for photographs from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and Monday, 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Photo packages prices begin at $14.99.

Gardening at lunch
The Columbia County Extension Service's Gardening at Lunch seminar for December will be at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday in the Evans Government Complex Auditorium. The topic of the lunch will be Proper Planting of Trees and Shrubs.
Santa photos
The Columbia County Humane Society is offering pet photos with Santa at Petsmart on Saturdays and Sundays through Christmas. The photos are $9.95, half of which will benefit the Humane Society.
Fire meeting
The Leah Volunteer Fire Department will elect new board members for the coming year when it meets at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Fire Station No. 2 on Burks Mountain Road. Leah residents are invited.
Harlem choir performance
The Chancel Choir of Harlem United Methodist Church, Harlem, will perform a special worship titled Journey of Promises, at 6 p.m. Dec. 22, at the church, 115 Milledgeville Road. For more information, call the church at 556-6885.
Grovetown bank holds customer appreciation
The First National Bank and Trust Co., Grovetown, will hold Customer Appreciation Day from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday. Customers are invited to enjoy refreshments and get a free photo with Santa Claus.

Solo ballet
The original ballet solo The Annunciation will be performed by Julia Morgan Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. service of Church of the Holy Comforter, which meets at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion.
A Christmas Eve service will be at 5 p.m. at the pavilion and will feature a brass and wind ensemble, guest soloists and children's Christmas pageant. Call 210-1133 for more information.
