Letter 'disgraceful' in branding Evans students

Nancy Edenfields Dec. 11 letter, Evans students game taunts "appalling, trashy vs. Lakeside, is disgraceful.

The Lakeside students participated in as much trash talking as Evans students (at the Dec. 6 basketball game). Stephen Rogers friends wore huge, fake noses and taunted him. Not only did they taunt Rogers, they taunted our homecoming queen, Brittany Will-iams, by shouting Brittany is a slut!

Lakeside and Evans have always been rivals! Why was Lakeside shouting so loud that the music during the Evans dance teams performance brought up in this article. Obviously, this letter was written by a close-minded person who stated that Evans was a red-neck school that lived up to its trashy reputation!

But on top of that, Edenfield wrote that Lake-side now had the class to back their high-class reputation they were known for. The only class they have is the one their mommies and daddies pay for!

Lakeside fans taunted our players when they had to get the ball from that side of the court, and I also recall one of Lakesides players flicking the Evans fans off when he retrieved a ball from our side of the court. I would not want to forget the vulgar dancing at the top of Lakesides stands when our dance team was performing, and Lakeside students getting escorted out by police!

I would also like to say that Don Brigdon is a wonderful principal and should never be ashamed of himself or his school! ...
