Students aren't 'trash,' don't deserve epithets

Re the Dec. 6 Evans vs. Lakeside game, and Nancy Edenfields subsequent letter:

It seems Edenfield did not see what was going on on her side of the gym. I do not condone the things that were yelled, but I was there and saw from the Evans side how the Lakeside kids were cutting up and taunting the Evans dance team while they were performing.

I also attended the Evans/Lakeside game last year, and distinctly remember the Lakeside kids calling our cheerleaders trailer park trash. It is one thing for kids to do it, but to hear an adult call other kids trash cuts deeper.

Our kids are not trash, and I am sure the other parents do not appreciate their children being called that, either.
