Voters won't accept ballot without former Georgia flag

Editor:

I read Barry Paschal's Dec. 4 column, "Solution for flag dilemma," but don't think it will work. Everyone wants to vote on the flag with the Confederate battle flag on it, and unless that is on the ballot, I don't think the matter will be brought to a close.

I would like to see the current one, the previous flag, the pre-1956 flag and perhaps even a totally new one designed by some representative commission up for the vote. Let the people decide.

Maybe then that all the flags people want to vote on are on the ballot, everyone will be able to get behind the flag that receive a majority of the votes or there may even have to be a runoff, but it is important to get this matter settled so that we can move on.

Thanks for an interesting article.
