Evans students' game taunts 'appalling, trashy' vs. Lakeside

I attended the Lakeside and Evans varsity boys basketball game this past Friday and was truly appalled at the behavior of the Evans students in attendance.

When the Lakeside cheerleaders took the court to cheer, the Evans students yelled Lakeside whores repeatedly during their entire cheer.

Later in the game the Lakeside cheerleaders did a cheer on the sidelines, and the Evans students yelled STDs the whole time they were cheering.

I understand that these are rival schools and I known taunting is a part of the game. I am all for this. There were many other things both sets of students yelled that were cut-downs, ribs, etc., but none were as disgusting as the ones Evans yelled. If the principle of Evans was in attendance, I hope he is ashamed as I am ashamed for him if he was because he did nothing to stop it.

Now I know why Evans has the reputation as being a redneck school. They proved to me that not only are they rednecks, they are trashy.

Lakesides reputation as being the stuck up and snotty rich kid school may be extreme, but I can honestly now say they have the class to back up their high-class reputation.
