Editor:
Have you noticed that letters to the editor written by politically correct liberals are just as shallow and ridiculous as the speeches given by most Democrats running for political office? Please, dont torture us.
You know exactly what Im speaking of: These letter-writers especially like to whine over things they deem are too Southern, such as the upcoming monument to Columbia Countys Confederate dead. Then, after they are done with their liberal pip-squeaking, they all of a sudden mention how they, too, are proud of their Southern heritage. Yeah, right.
Its strange how these brave South-bashers cant find the courage to write about rotten items presently being touted by the former slave-trading Yankee empire they so admire. For instance, where are all the letters denouncing human cloning, genetic manipulation, microchip mark-of-the-beast implants - and the godless United Nations?
Sure, all of America is suffering, but nearly everything that has negatively affected this land was conceived North of the Mason-Dixon Line. That especially includes the institution of slavery.
The New York Sex Museum just recently opened in New York City, yet we Southerners of Columbia County are wrong for wanting a monument to our brave ancestors? Get out of here!
Out with Roy Barnes, up with the real Georgia flag - and up with a monument to Columbia Countys Confederate dead. Furthermore, lets make sure that monument has the Southern Cross etched above the names of those brave soldiers.
