Cleland served, shouldn't be criticized

U.S. Rep. Saxby Chambliss recent television attack ad against Sen. Max Cleland, in which Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein appear is about as low as it gets. Most everyone knows that Cleland not only shed his blood in service to his country in Vietnam, but came back home minus two legs and an arm.

Chambliss allegedly had a bad knee. He has never been inside a military uniform, let alone combat fatigues. How is he going to fight terrorism with that bad knee? Oh! I know! He is going to fight terrorism in Washington, D.C. Some other mothers son is the one going to bleed on the terrorism battlefield.

You can tell Saxby Chambliss this Purple Heart combat veteran says he is nothing but a water boy and 21st century Joe McCarthy for the Texas Air National Guard mosquito ace. He didnt serve in Vietnam, either; he had political connections.
