Re Gene Rickabys letter of Sept. 25, Judge Allgoods court needs more observers:

Allgoods court isnt the only one that needs the attention of the masses! Gender bias has been a key issue for years! Having been active with Fathers Are Parents Too! of Georgia and having gone through what I considered the lowest point in my own life (an ugly divorce and custody issues), I did some research into these problems.

More men are taking on the responsibility of a stay at home dad. Yet the court systems are still stuck in the dark ages with their Mothers make the better parent mentality.

I quote a Georgia senator making a statement to the Legislature a few years ago:

The calf belongs to the cow and the only thing a father needs to know is when to bring the child home after his visitation and how much child support to pay the mother. With people like this on board, men do not need enemies!

Georgia law gives entirely too much power over our families to some ill-informed, untrained men and women on the bench, posing as God. Children need both parents in their lives, no matter what these judges think. Shared parenting worked when Mom and Dad were together; why cant it work when they divorce?

The selfish, egomaniacal, power-hungry individuals are the people hurting our children today. The mother who wants to control every aspect of her ex-husbands life through her kids. The manipulation of men to control their ex-wife when they couldnt control her while in marriage. Parents need to grow up and put their children first!

Ending a marriage is as devastating as is a death to the family. In the courts mentality only one parent can raise the kids. Why? I personally would like to know when God granted His all knowing to a human being dressed up in a black robe? Let us all examine this problem and work for a solution that keeps both parents in the childs life. ...
