America fought and won a major war to save democracy, for the living, when a terrorist, tyrant nation launched a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor and the Philippines and killed 3,000 Americans. The cry, Remem-ber Pearl Harbor, united the home front and fueled the fire in the troops bellies to get us that decisive victory for the living.
Remember 9/11 is todays rallying cry. It was appalling to read the recent Associated Press fuzzy survey or what ever it was concluding America is fed up remembering 9/11 and memorializing those who died. This country is as much at war as it was in 1941. Four commercial jets converted to missiles launched a sneak attack killing another 3,000 Americans.
Todays threatening dictators and terrorists would love to have us forget 9/11. Japanese Admiral Yamamoto said as the Pearl Harbor attack was launched, We have only awakened a sleeping giant. It did - in spades! Now, 9/11 has done the same thing, to the dismayed miscalculation of Osama bin Laden and world terrorists, be they nations or rogue groups. Saddam Hussein learned this the hard way in 1990 when faraway Kuwait was invaded and raped. America responded and waxed him, and now Saddam is doing everything he can to deflect his certain final destruction now that he has conclusively proven he cant keep the word he gave to the world (the United Nations) to disarm.
War is war, terrorism is terrorism, and bad guys are bad guys! Uninformed, comfy Americans who believe life is for the living and want to keep on living the good life given to them by those who died and/or fought for it for them better keep on remembering who the bad guys are; who died for them; and who is trying to save their posteriors for them. Remember 9/11!
