The following accounts were taken from reports filed with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

Concession stand robbed

Several partial shoe prints were found near where a Lakeside High School concession stand was robbed.

Seventy-eight bottles of assorted Coca-Cola products were taken from the stand between Aug. 17 and 27.

Sharon Schultz Nicholas, president of the band boosters, told officers she would like to prosecute once suspects are identified.

The report shows the case was turned over to Columbia County Sheriff's Office Investigator Teresa Charney.

Sugar in the tank

A Grovetown woman told officers her gas tank was loaded with sugar.

Lisa Lynn Goins, 22, said someone put sugar in her 1997 Dodge Intrepid on Aug. 25. A report of the incident shows the deputy who responded removed the gas cap and saw sugar around the rim of the tank. The damage done is estimated at $800.

Portable bathroom damaged

A man told officers someone blew up a portable bathroom at a construction site.

Ernest Brent Johnson, 47, of Mediallion Construction Company, said the bathroom was damaged when someone poured gasoline down several PVC pipes and ignited them. The damage to the bathroom and the pipes is valued at $5,500

The Martinez Fire Department responded to the following calls during the week of Aug. 18-24: structure fires, four; vehicle fires, two; controlled burn, one; natural gas leaks, two; fire alarms, six; medical calls, 27; rescue calls, seven; investigations, two; public service, one; other, five.
