Why we endorse

It is this newspapers policy to evaluate local candidates for office and offer to our readers the benefit of our careful study and consideration by voicing our opinions on those candidates.

Additionally, we pledge to our readers that we have no hidden ties to any of the candidates, and that all of our recommendations are made in what we believe are the best interests of our community.

Today we offer our views on candidates for three races that will be decided in the upcoming election.
