Editor:
I am writing in support of Tony Mundy, who is running for County Commission District 3 in the Harlem/Grovetown area. Mundy is a local businessman and understands the expectations of a community commissioner. He is a member of Harlem Baptist Church and participates in several committees and projects. Mundy is against consolidation of the Harlem/Grovetown area and wants to continue with separate municipalities of the communities. Mundy is concerned with railroad situations that exist in the area and plans to help find solutions to these problems.
Mundy has been a resident of Harlem for over 10 years and knows the community. Peggy Lichtenberg, another candidate for the District 3 seat, does not even live in District 3. She is a resident of West Lake and cannot understand the issues of Harlem and Grovetown because she doesnt even live there.
Do we want a person from another district telling us how to run our cities? Mundy is the most qualified candidate for the position of county commissioner and understand the needs of Harlem and Grovetown.
