Golf Tournament

The third annual Steven W. Patch Memorial Golf Tournament will be Saturday at Forest Hills Golf Club. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by a putting contest at 9 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Registration is $300 per team - or $75 per individual player - and includes lunch. All proceeds benefit the Steven W. Patch Scholarship for students with cancer at Augusta State University. River Clean-up scheduled

Rivers Alive is a statewide annual volunteer river clean-up event.

The Sierra Club is participating in the event on Aug. 24 with an Augusta Canal Clean-up. The public is invited to join.

American Legion Auxiliary flea market

The American Legion Auxiliary of Post 192, Evans, will hold a flea market from 7 a.m. to1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

All proceeds will go toward purchasing Christmas gifts for war veterans of the Uptown Division of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Augusta.

Booth rentals are $10 each. Breakfast biscuits, doughnuts will be for sale in the early morning. The legion is located at No. 1 Legion Drive off Owens Road and Washington Road in Evans.

Jenna Cockrell memorial concert

A concert in memory of Jenna Cockrell will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at New Hope Worship Center located at 715 S. Old Belair Road, Grovetown.

Natalie Grant will be the featured performer at the "loving Jesus, Remembering Jenna" concert.

The event is free and sponsored by the Jenna Cockrell Memorial Fund. Love offerings will be accepted.

"Time Out"

First Baptist Church of Evans will host Time Out beginning at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at the church on the corner of Belair Road and Washington Road, in Evans.

"Time Out" is a monthly inspirational lunch gathering for the community.
