Summer revival
The Olive Grove Baptist Church will be having a Summer Revival Monday-Friday nightly at 7 p.m. The revival will be with the Rev. Keith Moore of Albany, Georgia as guest evangelist. For more information call Willette Dunn at 860-7345 or 869-0377.
Golf Tournament
The third annual Steven W. Patch Memorial Golf Tournament will be Aug. 17 at Forest Hills Golf Club. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by a putting contest at 9 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Registration is $300 per team - or $75 per individual player - and includes lunch. All proceeds benefit the Steven W. Patch Scholarship for students with cancer at Augusta State University. Steel Magnolias
Stage III, Ltd., Columbia County's Community Theater, will present Steel Magnolias. Dinner theater performances begin at 7 p.m. Aug. 22 through Aug. 24. A matinee will be presented at 3 p.m. Aug. 25. All performances will be at the Augusta Jewish Community Center off Furys Ferry Road in Evans. Advance tickets are $25 for evening shows, $15 for the matinee. For more information, call 228-3636.

Golf Tournament
The Greater Augusta Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors will be holding its tenth annual "Christmas for Charities" golf tournament at the Forest Hills Golf Club on August 29, 2002. The entry fee is $60 per person. The fee includes lunch, which will be served at noon, with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, as well as to the golfer with the longest drive and to the golfer closest to the pin. Gifts and prizes will be raffled off in addition to the above awards. All profits will be distributed to various charities. Single golfers or teams are welcome.
