Mundy nearly claims state title
Former Lakeside High School star Jay Mundy finished one shot out of a playoff at last weekend's Georgia State Amateur Championship. The 81st annual tournament was held at Doublegate Country Club in Albany.

Little league pitcher nears perfect game
Martinez-Evans Little League baseball player Travis Cerasuolo came close to pitching perfection during a game last week with the MELL American League All-star team, but he wasn't about to do any cartwheels.
