The following accounts were taken from reports filed with the Columbia County Sheriff's office.

Cars vandalized at Augusta Christian

Four cars parked at Augusta Christian School were hit with raw eggs the night of May 22.

School security guard Ellis Wally Arceneaux told police the four vehicles were hit by vandals prior to 11 p.m., when he discovered the vandalism.

He said he did not see who threw the eggs.

The cars were a white Ford Explorer, owned by Cynthia Weatherly Rogers, of the 4200 block of Green Ivy lane, Martinez; a white Plymouth Voyager, owned by John Douglas Enyeart, of the 500 block of Ansley Way, Evans; a red Chevrolet Silverado, owned by Amy Pitman Hardy, of the 6100 block of Washington Road, Appling; and a yellow Ford Mustang, owned by Catherine Rausch, of the 1400 block of Ashwood Drive, Evans.

Martinez woman reports tampering with mail

A Martinez woman reported May 23 that someone tampered with her mail.

Linda Larkin Smith, of the 200 block of Ashton Woods Drive, said that someone took mail from her mailbox on the afternoon of May 23, opened some of the mail and then returned it to the mailbox.

Smith said she did not believe any mail was missing.

The report indicated she reported the incident to the U.S. Postal Service.

Vandals strike car

An Evans woman said someone shattered the rear window of her car during the early morning of May 22.

Donna Schultz, of the 4700 block of Rhett Drive, Evans, said that sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. the rear window of her 1995 Mitsubishi Galant.

She said she believes the window was shattered with a BB gun.
