School bus vandalized

A Columbia County school bus was vandalized, causing about $250 in damages.

Larry Lee Watts, the driver of the vandalized bus, reported May 13 to deputies that over the previous weekend someone entered the bus and discharged three fire extinguishers.

In addition, the intruder smoked seven cigarettes and extinguished them on a seat, causing burns. The damage was estimated at $250.

Burglary nets $5,000 in computer equipment

A Martinez man reported his home was burglarized May 13, with computer equipment worth $5,000 missing.

Kenneth Ray Brown, of the 300 block of Lamplighter Lane, Martinez, said someone apparently kicked in a rear door to his home and took a 22-inch Apple Cinema display monitor valued at $2,500, an Apple Power Mac G4 processor valued at $2,500 and a Harmon Karden stereo receiver valued at $600.

Two TVs taken in home burglary

A Martinez woman reported May 10 that someone took two TVs from and a small amount of cash during a burglary the night before.

Melissa Jean Lawler, of the 3900 block of Miramar Court, Martinez, said someone entered her home through a rear door and took a 13-inch Samsung TV valued at $150, a 32-inch Samsung TV valued at $400 and about $20 in cash.
