Baseball tournament

The Georgia Games East District Sports Festival will feature youth baseball tournaments May 17-19 at Patriots Park. Age divisions include 14-under, 12-under, and 10-under. The entry fee is $200, and each team is guaranteed three games. Awards will be presented to first, second and third place winners, plus all participants will receive a T-shirt. Tennis lessons

Petersburg Racquet Club in Martinez will be offering free tennis lessons on May 16 and 18. These lessons are for beginning players or for people who have not played in a long time. Adults are scheduled for Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Juniors (18 and under) are scheduled for Saturday from 9 to 10:15 a.m. You do not have to be a member of PRC to attend. This program is part of the USA Tennis 1-2-3 Program. Petersburg will offer a six-week follow-up program for interested adult players beginning May 23, with junior clinics beginning on May 20. AAU basketball

The Augusta Pride girls AAU program is currently seeking basketball players in the following age divisions: 17-and-under; 16-and-under; 15-and-under; 14-and-under. Basketball clinic

A basketball shooting clinic is scheduled for June 7-8 at Augusta Preparatory Day School's Boardman Gymnasium. World-class shooting coach Tom Nordland will conduct the clinic, which is open to boys and girls sixth grade or older. The cost is $50 per player, or $65, which includes the "Swish" shooting video. The Friday and Saturday clinic features four sessions (9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2-6 p.m. each day). Coaches and parents are welcome to observe.
