ACS senior to attend fair
Leigh Anne Beaudreau, a senior at Augusta Christian School, will represent the CSRA at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair May 12-18 in Louisville, Ky. She will exhibit her project entitled Fungal Soil Inoculants: What Is the Optimal Concentration? She also was selected to participate in the Georgia State Science Fair in Athens, Ga., April 10-12. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gary Beaudreau of Evans.
Teen competes in pageant
Jamie Norris, an Evans High School student, will compete in the Georgia's Perfect Teen Pageant in Atlanta April 6-7. She is the daughter of Lynn and Bob Ferrara of Evans and John and Sara Norris of Colorado Springs, Colo. The state pageant will select Georgia's representative to the National America's Perfect Teen Pageant to be held in Orlando, Fla.
Dean's list
Janice Korrin Gabriel of Evans has been named to the Dean's List at Queens College in Charlotte, N.C. She is a corporate communications major in the private, coed, liberal arts college. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Alexander Gabriel.

Local Marines complete training
Marine Pvt. Christopher E. Gram, son of Mike E. Gram, Harlem, and Ranell I. Guillot, Alexandria, La., recently completed basic training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, S.C.
He is a 2001 graduate of Harlem High School.

Augusta Prep graduate in play
GRANVILLE, Ohio - Jeff Smith, a 2000 graduate of Augusta Preparatory Day School in Martinez, performed the role of Kindred in the Denison University production of "Everyman."
He is the son of Barbara and Roger Smith of Parkville, Ohio.
Local FBLA students win honors
Future Business Leaders of America students at Lakeside High School won several awards at the Georgia FBLA competition held in Atlanta recently.
Kortni Roberts won first place in the Georgia Cooperative Business Student of the Year competition.
Patrick O'Connor won fifth place in Banking and Finance.
Siri Shetty won ninth place in business communications.
Amy Smith and LaToya Coard won 10th place in desktop publishing.
Students win recognition
Columbia Middle School pupil Daniel Powell has been recognized for his performance in the Duke University Talent Identification Program. He scored in the top two percent in the SAT.
Samir Husaimy, Jacqueline Kappes and Robin Lyles won state recognition for their scores on the SAT.
Guilly Rebabay wrote a winning composition in the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition.
