Columbia newsmakers
A "Thinking of You in Georgia-Carolina" banner was signed by more than 900 students as part of an FCCLA community service project at Evans High School. Following the September 11 incident, FCCLA members implemented a project to collect money and gifts for the children in the Twin Towers area. This project resulted in the donation of $800 to the Children in Crisis in New York City. Ms. Angela Hillestrand from Saturn of Augusta organized the project and actually delivered the gifts and money to the Children in Crisis Center in New York from the Evans chapter as well as a number of Saturn dealerships throughout the South.

With traces of snow likely still on the ground in the North, and the danger of frost far from over, you have to come lower in the hemisphere to guarantee those two first days will arrive on the same date.

Deport illegals who break law
It would seem like plain old common sense: When an illegal immigrant is caught breaking the law, he or she should be booted out of the United States. After all: If you arent supposed to be here, youre already breaking the law. Violating another rule makes you a multiple offender, right?
