Police reports

The following accounts were taken from reports filed with the Columbia County Sheriff's office.

Eavesdropping reported

A Martinez man told police Feb. 19 that he found an eavesdropping device under his bed.

Randal Darren Sigmon of the 200 block of Oak Ridge Drive said he believes someone put the device there to record his phone conservations, reports showed.

He told police that the device must have been in his house for at least a month.

House burglary

An Evans man reported the burglary of $100 cash, a video camera and several DVD movies from his house on Feb. 21.

Michael Ladon of the 4500 block of Oxford Drive said someone entered his house through a bedroom window, according to department records. The burglary, he said, occurred sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 5:10 p.m.
