Proposed elementary changes hurt class sizes
The Columbia Counbty School Board - with the exception of one member - is considering voting to promote minimum educational standards with maximum class sizes. As a parent who voted for school board members in previous elections, I wonder why they think any parent who voted for them would want such a scenario? Their goal should be to achieve maximum educational standards with minimal class sizes.

Board must reject reduction in teaching staff
Is Tommy Price quietly trying to make Columbia County children illiterate? At the last Columbia County Board of Education meeting, with very little information, a majority of the Board members tentatively voted for a resolution that would essentially remove a teaching position at six Columbia County elementary schools and would provide a teaching position at only two others.
