The following accounts were taken from reports filed with the Columbia County Sheriff's office.

Go cart theft

The theft of a go cart body frame from Funsville was reported on Jan. 29.

Rick G. Wentzky, general manager of the Wheeler Road amusement park in Martinez, said someone had stolen the frame off a go cart that was being kept at the northeast corner of the park, reports showed.

The frame was valued at $1,000.

Golf course damage

Approximately $1,000 in damage to a green at Jones Creek Golf Club was found on Jan. 31.

Tim Donald North, the course's superintendent, told police it appeared that someone drove a vehicle over the green at hole No. 17, department records stated.

The case is considered criminal damage to property.

Jewelry stolen

A Martinez man told police Jan. 31 that someone stole two rings from his house.

Eugene Lee Clark of the 3500 block of Westlake Drive said someone entered his house and took two of his wife's rings - an 18 karat gold ring and 18 karat diamond engagement ring, according to reports.

Clark said the jewelry had been left out on a kitchen counter. He estimated the loss at $5,800.
