Highlights: Hit buzzer-beating 3-point shots in the second and third quarters and did just about everything else. Lowdown: Since joining the Wolfpack at the Columbia County Christmas Tournament, the junior transfer student has topped 30 points in two games, but both ended in overtime defeats.
Eric Taylor: 21 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist.
Highlights: Displayed a solid game inside and out, using spin moves to score in the lane and draining a pair of 3-point shots. Lowdown: Established himself as the top freshman in Columbia County.
Richard Burke: 9 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 blocked shot.
Highlights: Contributed some slick passes on inbound plays and snuck in for several crucial rebounds and clutch baskets. Lowdown: Proving to be part of the fabric that holds the Pack together.
Dupaul Scott: 9 points, 4 rebounds.
Highlights: Got Greenbrier off to a good start by scoring team's first four points of the game. Lowdown: Helped offset the loss of starting guard Tommy McKinney, who was sidelined with back spasms.
Daniel Jordan: 10 points, 7 rebounds, 1 blocked shot.
Highlights: Recorded two put-backs to spark a 13-4 run in the second quarter, as the Pack took a 37-30 halftime lead. Lowdown: Strong play in the lane countered Evans' big men.
Brandon Dotson: 4 rebounds, 1 assist.
Highlights: With McKinney out of commission, Dotson helped run the offense and key the Pack press. Lowdown: His night was summed up in the final seconds - after missing a long-range shot, he retreated downcourt, pointed his index finger and at his head and pulled the trigger.
Barrett Stafford: 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 rebound.
Highlights: Despite limited action, the junior mixed it up in the middle. Lowdown: Aggressive play with no mistakes.
Brian Johnson: 3 points.
Highlights: Heaved a desperation shot from half court as time expired in the third overtime and hit nothing but net. Lowdown: Participated in a classic contest and closed with an unforgettable shot.
Evans
Teddy Ingram: 20 points, 2 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists.
Highlights: After being shut out in the first half, finished the night with 20 points, including five 3-pointers; with four fouls and with only 3:09 left in regulation, the senior converted two steals into fast-break buckets to help send the game into overtime. Lowdown: Ingram eventually fouled out and watched Evans lose from the bench.
John Harris: 20 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist.
Highlights: A calming influence in a chaotic contest, he drained a 3-point shot for the Knights' final points in regulation. Lowdown: Slick ball handling and solid shooting during the overtimes sealed the win.
Fernando Mickens: 11 points, 5 rebounds, 6 steals, 5 assists.
Highlights: Did a little of everything and eventually wore down Marshall in the overtime periods. Lowdown: The shortest player on the court came up big at crunch time.
Montrez Holloway: 10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 7 assists.
Highlights: Took over when Ingram got in foul trouble and led the Knights in assists. Lowdown: After missing his senior season in football, he's back where he belongs - with his teammates.
Marcus Davis: 16 points, 12 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist, 1 blocked shot.
Highlights: Led the Knights in rebounding and held his ground in the paint. Lowdown: His scoring in regulation kept Evans close.
Kendrick Davis: 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 assists, 2 blocked shots.
Highlights: Kept his cool while Marshall was pouring in points and had the last laugh when he pinned a Marshall shot against the backboard in the second overtime. Lowdown: Shot-blocking specialist also has emerged as a scorer and leader.
Chris Jennell: 1 rebound.
Highlights: The football tight end threw some blocks in limited minutes on the court. Lowdown: The senior saw action in an exciting game.
Maddison Cook: 1 foul.
Highlights: Played sparingly, but did a good job guarding Marshall. Lowdown: Took part in the post-game victory celebration.
