Mistletoe State Park news

The Making Maple Syrup event will be at Mistletoe State Park on Saturday. The event begins at 1:30 p.m. Mistletoe Park Rangers will show how to make real maple syrup at home. The demonstration starts with identifying the correct trees. Then staff members will take participants out and show them how to tap the trees. Approximately two weeks later, Mistletoe staff will gather the sap and make syrup. Activities are free, but there is a $2 parking fee. For information and directions, call Mistletoe State Park at (706) 541-0321.
