The following accounts were taken from reports filed with the Columbia County Sheriff's office.

Paint ball shootings

Two Martinez homeowners told police Jan. 1 and 2 that someone drove by their homes and shot it with a paint ball gun.

John Patrick Duggan and Roland Weisser, both of the 4100 block of Knollcrest Circle North, said their homes had been hit several times with paint balls on separate days, reports showed.

Weisser said he saw a small white pickup truck leaving the area after he heard paint balls hit his house, according to records. Both cases are considered criminal trespass.

Business burglarized twice

A Martinez business was recently burglarized twice within a week, according to a police report.

The burglaries occurred at Edward Jones Investments at the 4200 block of Columbia Road from Dec. 28 to Jan. 2 and involved someone entering the business through a window both times.

Benita Lanford Dillard, an office manager, said a lap top computer was taken in the first burglary. A 19-inch television was stolen in the second break-in.

The loss was valued at $3,300.
