Legislative breakfast

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee's Annual Pre-Legislative Breakfast on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion.

State Sens. Joey Brush and Don Cheeks and Reps. Ben Harbin and Bill Jackson are scheduled to attend.

The event begins at 7:30 a.m., and a complimentary continental breakfast will be available. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are requested. For more information, call (706) 651-0018.

Cub Scout presentation

Christmas concert

The Columbia County Choral Society will present Fantasia on Christmas Carols, a Christmas concert by Ralph Vaughan Williams at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Evans. Georgia forestry advice

JROTC fall parade

Evans High School's JROTC Knight Battalion team will have its fall parade at 11 a.m. today on the school's football field. The parade will honor Don Brigdon, Evans' new principal. Evans' drill teams and color guard will be presented a first place trophy for marching in the Augusta Veterans Day Parade. For more information, call Lt. Col. Holiday celebration

University Hospital will have its Holiday Celebration and Tree of Love Kickoff from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday on the front lawn of the hospital. Santa shop offered

Bel Air Elementary School will offer its annual Santa shop to the public Saturday. Pictures with Santa Claus will be taken and a breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. A gift shop also will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call (706) 863-8724.

Holiday tour and dinner

The annual Historic Holiday Tour and Dinner in Washington, Ga., will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 8. Tour tickets cost $12 each, $45 with dinner included. For more information, call Suzanne Norman at (706) 678-1922.
