Even with loss, Series was great for local star

Congratulations to former Evans High star Todd Greene on playing in a World Series, getting a hit and an RBI. Condolences on the loss,, but at least his team was there.

As a Pittsburgh Pirate fan, the last really good World Series was 1979. But If it couldn't be the Pirates, this one wasnt bad. Four former Bucs on the Diamondbacks (and two played here in Augusta when the team was in the Pirate farm system). A former Pirate scored the tying run, a former Pirate drove in that tying run, and a former Pirate scored the winning run. Now if all of that had just happened in PNC Park.

Waitll next year!
