Commentary on principal's suspension 'nauseating'

Editor,

I was nauseated by the Oct. 24 News-Times editorial in defense of the Lakeside principal. From the gloating headline to its smug conclusion, it was taken right out of the Democrat-ic National Committee attack-journalism handbook. It could have easily been written by Slick Willies scabrous attack rat, James Carville.

Everythings there: a weak, almost non-admission of guilt in the vein of, Mistakes were made, all the while biting your lip, no doubt. Then the obligatory attack on the motives of the people who uncovered the crime, saying in effect, Yeah, hes a liar, but theyre worse because they dont like him. Gee, could that be because hes an immoral person in charge of the education of their children?

Not content to smear them defending the indefensible, you overtly threaten this group of parents by telling them theyre put on notice.

Put the parents on notice? The parents are not public servants kept on in a position of trust over children despite lying to elected officials, but theyre put on notice?

What are you going to do, investigate the background of these private persons, misuse your power of the press to out their every indiscretion if they dare criticize your anointed boy in the future?

Who are you, Larry Flynt?
